I agree with all of the pastors and folks that say that the best way to get over yourself and your hurt is to help others. I agree the best way to move forward in life can be to stop being myopic about your own. Sometimes this is easier said than done.
Recently, I've had some intense self-focus. But, I've felt that it was productive and appropriate for the season and have wondered when that season would be over. This week, nagging anxiety surfaced on how God is going to take care of me in this world. This blog post helped a lot of the world wash away and let me know that self-season was phasing out:
