I'm loving this term!

I'm in the process of reviewing a student's Secondary Comps Prospectus, where she will be sampling women ages 18-25.  She is referring to them as "emerging adults".

Emerging Adults is defined as:  developmental category of individuals ranging in age from 18 to 25; also a time when individuals are more likely to explore their world for new experiences (Shifren, Furnham, & Bauserman, 2003).

How much do I wish I had this term back when?!  "Leave me alone, I'm trying to figure this out as an emerging adult!"  Alas, I am past the age range, but hopefully still exploring the world!!
